Pumpkin Face Masks

Always we buy a pumpkin and don't use full of it. I have a leftover pumpkin last week in my kitchen and checked what are all advantages of pumpkin if I use it as face mask. Pumpkin has good source of vitamins, beta carotene and antioxidants.

Pumpkin allows the following benefits:
  • Good for dead cell removal.
  • Excellent for scalp care.
  • Fight with acne problem
  • Protect from sunburns.
It is better to steam the face before applying any beauty face pack. Steam will open the pores of the skin and runs the quick absorption. After giving steam to the face, wash it with face wash and apply the face packs that is described below.




1. Pumpkin pulp face mask

Ingredients:

Cooked Pumpkin

How to Apply:
  1. Make a fine paste of cooked pumpkin pulp. 
  2. Massage the pumpkin pulp on your face for around 10 minutes every day.
  3. It cleanses, exfoliates and lightens the skin tone.


2. Egg face mask with Pumpkin

   
Ingredients:

Pumpkin pulp
1 Egg white
1/2 tbsp milk
1/2 tbsp honey

How to Apply:
  1. Mix pumpkin pulp with 1 egg white and 1/2 table spoon of milk and honey to it. 
  2. Mix well and apply the paste on your face, neck and leave for 15 minutes. 
  3. Rinse with cold water to get a glowing complexion and acne-free skin.
Tip 1 for Acne Problem: If you have acne problem, take 1 tbsp of pumpkin puree and 1 egg white. Mix both well together, apply it to face and leave for 15 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water. This helps for acne problems. 

Tip 2 for instant glow:  If you add 1 tbsp of milk to 1 tbsp pumpkin puree and 1 egg white mixture. Apply it to face and leave for 15 minutes. Was it off with lukewarm water.


3. Pumpkin and Yogurt face mask

Ingredients:

Pumpkin puree
1/2 tbsp yogurt
3 almonds
1/2 tbsp honey

How to Apply:

  1. Soak 3 almonds overnight
  2. Make a paste of the soaked almonds.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of pumpkin puree to half spoon of yogurt, half spoon of honey and almond paste.
  4. Scrub the above paste.
  5. Wash it after the 20 minutes with Luke warm water.
The following face mask is very good for oily skin.

4. Pumpkin face mask for oily skin

Ingredients:

Boiled pumpkin puree.
1 tbsp lemon juice.
1 tbsp brown sugar.

How to Apply:
  1. Mix all above ingredients.
  2. Apply the mixture on face while massaging.
  3. Leave it for 15 minutes.
  4. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

5. Pumpkin face mask with Bengal gram 

This face pack can also be used as a scrub.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Pumpkin puree
1 tbsp Bengal gram
1/2 tbsp milk
1/2 tbsp lemon juice

How to Apply:
  1. Mash a pumpkin slice and add Bengal gram flour to make a semi-thick consistency. 
  2. Add few drops of milk and lemon juice.
  3. Apply and leave for 10-15 minutes. 
  4. Rinse with cold water. 
This face pack is suitable to all skin types and can be applied twice or thrice a week.
